Everyone must stay at home to help stop the spread of coronavirus.
You should only leave the house for very limited purposes:
Important - These reasons are exceptions – even when doing these activities, you should be minimising time spent outside of the home and ensuring you are 2 metres apart from anyone outside of your household.
There is separate advice about staying at home if:
Do not leave your home if you have either:
To protect others, do not go to places like a GP surgery, pharmacy or hospital. Stay at home.
Use the 111 online coronavirus service to find out what to do.
Only call 111 if you cannot get help online.

For our patients whose medication remains stable we are now doing doing RD (Repeat Dispensed) prescriptions. This means your GP will issue 6 months worth of medication at once which will wait at your pharmacy to be dispensed monthly.
If you notice that your prescription states it is not due until a future date (i.e. February 2017) this means your prescriptions are all ready at the pharmacy and you will not need to request them monthly.
Evening and weekend appointments now available at GP practices
Please join our group and get involved!
To help us with this, we are setting up a virtual patient representation group so that you can have your say. We will ask the members of this representative group some questions from time to time, such as what you think about our opening times or the quality of the care or service you received. We will contact you via email and keep our surveys succinct so it shouldn’t take too much of your time.
We aim to gather around a hundred patients from as broad a spectrum as possible to get a truly representative sample. We need young people, workers, retirees, people with long term conditions and people from non-British ethnic groups.
If you are happy for us to contact you occasionally by email please click the link below to open the sign-up form and complete all the fields.

PPG & Survey Results Report
Patient Reference Group
We are looking for patients to join our Patient Participation Group. A number of patients are already involved but we are keen for more patients to sign up. The Patient Participation Group works closely with the doctors and practice manager to enable patients to provide feedback on the range of services we offer.
The patient reference group consists of nineteen members. The age range is between 17yrs and 85yrs. We have tried to recruit patients who are representative of the different ethnic groups and represent the different needs of our registered patients. We have done this through posters in the surgery, on our website and actively speaking to patients.
If you wish to sign up to our Patient Reference Group you can do this either online, on our website at www.northstreetmedicalpractice.co.uk or speak to one of our members of staff.
We would like to thank all of our Patient Reference Group members for giving up their time to attend meetings at the surgery and putting forward their views and ideas for improvement.
To view the results of the survey please click on the "Survey results" on the right of the home page
Thank you to all of the patients who completed the patient survey.
The survey was generated to get feedback from a wider group of patients after discussions at our first Patient Reference Group meeting last year indicated that there is a lack of information for patients about the services we offer.
The results of the survey were discussed at our last Patient Reference Group. It was agreed the areas where we need to improve are providing further information to patients on the services we provide and on the appointments system.
We have agreed to display more information on notice boards in the surgery and the website detailing what a “routine” appointment is and how this can be booked and what an “urgent “ appointment is and how this can be booked. You will see we will be adding a new message to the booking in machine advising patients they can book appointments with a GP or nurse up to six weeks in advance. The doctors and nurses will also be encouraging patients who need to come back for a review to book their appointment in advance. More information will be displayed on the services we offer and how to access them.
The Documents below show how the Practice has worked with members of the PPG to explore the results from surveys previously undertaken. We are committed to recruiting additional members to our PPG and look forward to hearing from you.
