Telephone System Guide

As part of our process of continuous review and improvement, we have made some further revisions to our telephone system. 

These changes came into effect on the  4th November 2019

  • Prescriptions 
  • Test results
  • General Enquiries

(Please note: lines 01733 907820 and 01733 571110 will be removed and no longer in service).

On connection you will hear the following message:

Thank you for calling Boroughbury Medical Centre. Please note calls may be recorded for training purposes. In order to deal with your call effectively please choose from one of the following 4 options, please listen carefully as our options have changed.

For Appointments please press 1 – This line is open Monday to Friday 8am to 12pm and 1pm to 6pm. 

For Prescription queries please press 2 – This line is open Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm. 

For Test results please press 3 – This line is open Monday to Friday 9am to 12pm and 1pm to 6pm.

For anything else please press 4 – This line is open Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm.

This line is for Emergencies and Health Care professionals only. You will not be able to book appointments, raise a query or request a prescription via this line. 

If you have a life threatening emergency please hang up and redial 999

  • If you are a Health Care Professional please press 2
