Patient Services Team
Our Team provide an important link for patients with the practice and are your initial contact point for general enquiries. They can provide basic information on services and results and direct you to the right person depending on your health issue or query. Our Patient Services Team make most of the patient appointments with the GPs and nurses.
Medicine Management Team
Our Team is the first point of contact to investigate, action and resolve prescription queries and also the issue of repeat prescriptions. The team provides full administrative prescription support to the doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals in the practice.
We class ourselves as the ‘births deaths and marriages dept’ 🙂 From baby registrations to marriage name/address changes to processing deaths. From taking the initial paperwork in to register patients to summarising notes to make sure all health conditions are correct and updated. Specialist hospital letters and private insurance reports are scanned and read coded before being sent to the usual GP. Our department manages the practice recall system to make sure patients receive reminders to have a health check up/annual reviews. Lastly when patients leave we have a deduction process and print records to send to their next GP.
The secretarial team are responsible predominantly for ensuring that patient referrals are processed in a timely fashion. They also type reports and other correspondence, such as letters requested by our patients, on behalf of our team of GPs. They answer telephone queries from both patients and other organisations, such as the hospital and community referral centres, helping to play their part in ensuring the smooth day to day running of the Practice.
