Welcome to Boroughbury Medical Centre, a modern day GP practice situated in the heart of Peterborough with a new surgery (BMC @ Werrington) in the village of Werrington. Boroughbury Medical Centre is a forward-thinking and innovative practice with a passion for multidisciplinary working, we are a registered training practice with an active research portfolio. Boroughbury Medical Centre is housed in two modern, state-of-the-art premises, caring for a richly diverse patient community.

We are also the host site for the Greater Peterborough Network HUB service which provides GP services in the evenings and weekends.

Routine Query line closed from 1-2pm: Please note our routine telephone line is closed from 1-2pm daily. If you have an emergency query during this time please call the emergency line on 01733 307850.

Please continue to wear a face covering and social distance when visiting the practice.

All of our COVID-19 secure measures remain in place and this will not change when Government guidance changes on 19 July 2021.

Patients are asked to continue to wear a face covering, unless they are exempt, and to follow social distancing when visiting our GP Practice.
This follows the national Infection Prevention Control (IPC) Guidance for all healthcare settings and will help to ensure the safety of our staff and patients at all times.

You can access your Covid-19 Vaccination status through the free NHS App .If you do not have access to a smart device you can call the NHS helpline on 119, they can post a letter out to you (allow 5 working days). Please do not contact us about your Covid-19 vaccination status.

  • We have implemented a telephone triage system

  • Please do not walk in to the practice

  • Please do not attend the practice if you have booked a telephone appointment online – you will be turned away

  • Only face to face appointments that are essential can be booked by the clinician

  • You can order your prescription using our own Online Prescription Service there is no need to register and  you do not need a password

  • We also now offer video consultations
